The role spans team and ART work
An SSM facilitates team events, supports flow, helps remove impediments, builds collaboration, and prepares the team to participate in PI Planning and ART execution. The role should not become a status collector for the RTE or a manager who assigns work.
Where AI helps and where it should stop
AI can help prepare options, detect patterns, organize risk information, or draft a neutral summary. It should not decide whose concern is valid, expose confidential team data, invent consensus, or replace the human work of trust, conflict, and coaching. The Scrum Master remains responsible for how a tool affects the conversation.

Scaled Agile's current SSM release FAQ states that legacy classes remain in a transition window until 27 October 2026. Confirm that a class scheduled after the transition uses the current learning plan and that its preparation resources match the 60-question assessment.
