A live online KMP 1 class should involve more than watching a trainer build a board. Kanban System Design asks learners to reason about a real service: demand, customer expectations, capability, workflow, policies, risk, and feedback. The buying question is whether the batch creates enough interaction to do that work.
AgileSeekers currently prices KMP 1 Kanban System Design training between Rs. 17,000 and Rs. 18,000 plus taxes. Price matters, but it is useful only after the course identity and learning experience are clear.
First verify what KMP 1 means in the offer
Providers and learners often use KMP 1 or KMP-I for Kanban System Design. Ask for the exact official course name on the completion record. Kanban University describes KSD as one step in the KMP path; completing the later qualifying course is what completes the credential route.
Review the current Kanban University course catalog and compare its terminology with the sales page. This prevents a generic Kanban workshop, a Team Kanban Practitioner class, and Kanban System Design from being treated as interchangeable.
Ask to see how the virtual room works
- How many learners are expected in the cohort?
- Will learners design a system from a case or their own service?
- How are breakout exercises facilitated and reviewed?
- Does the trainer inspect policies, system boundaries, and flow assumptions?
- What happens when a learner cannot attend part of the live class?
- Which official materials and certificate steps are included?
A recording can help with revision, but it cannot replace observed group work. If the value of the offer rests mainly on lifetime recordings, ask what happens during the live hours that cannot be obtained from a video.
Use one work problem as your evaluation lens
| Problem you bring | Evidence of a useful class |
|---|---|
| Too much work is active | The class moves beyond slogans into WIP policy and replenishment choices |
| Delivery dates are unreliable | Learners work with lead-time evidence and service expectations |
| Urgent work disrupts everything | Risk, classes of service, and explicit treatment policies are examined |
| The board hides waiting | Workflow discovery includes queues, blocked work, and handoffs |
| Teams optimize locally | The service boundary extends beyond one person or function |
Calculate the payable amount, not the banner price
For the AgileSeekers range, taxes are additional. Ask for the invoice total, cancellation or transfer terms, included certification processing, and any optional support before paying. A lower number is not a saving if official learning material or the expected course completion route is missing.
The existing KMP 1 cost guide explains the Rs. 17,000-18,000 range in more detail. The weekend and weekday batch guide can help you compare formats without duplicating the course-selection questions here.
Check the trainer’s Kanban experience
Accreditation is the entry check. Also ask for examples of services the trainer has worked with and how they handle contexts beyond software delivery. A trainer should be able to discuss policy disagreements, unreliable data, mixed demand, customer expectations, and organizational constraints without forcing every case into the same board.
Confirm the small technical details
Ask which collaboration platform is used, whether a second screen is helpful, how breakout boards are shared, and what connection or audio backup is available. These are ordinary questions, but a system-design exercise loses momentum when learners cannot edit the shared workspace or inspect each other’s policies.
Also check the time zone, daily start and finish, break pattern, and attendance expectation. “Weekend batch” does not tell you whether the class is split across two long days or several shorter sessions. Choose the pattern that lets you participate fully rather than keeping the course open beside other work.
The decision rule
Choose the batch when the official course is unambiguous, the live design practice is substantial, the trainer can work with your context, and the final payable amount is clear. Delay the purchase when the provider cannot distinguish a course certificate from the full KMP path or cannot explain what learners will produce during class.
